Wedding Pictures

I am sorry these pictures kinda look funny...they look awesome bigger. So I got the CDs in the mail about a month ago...but when we went to look through them, 3 out of the 5 CDs were blank...so I am still waiting for the rest of the pictures. I have had lots of demands to see wedding pictures, so I have decided not to wait anymore and put a few on here from the first two CD's. It was not until I was added them to the blog that I realize I have SOOOO many pictures! Our photographer was Ashley McKay and I HIGHLY recommend her! She was so fun to work with and did such a good job! This is only a few from the CDs and we have only 1/4 of the pictures form Ashley! So when I get all of them I will put them in drop box (thanks Adrian for setting that up for us!) and you guys can choose what you want from it. There are a million copies of the same pictures with various effects on them...so you can pick which one you like. Sorry it has taken so long! Love you, and thanks again to everyone that came to our wedding! That day was sooo unbelievably PERFECT! It was the best day of my life and thanks to everyone for making it so effortless and special. O I will also add pictures that my incredibly talented sister-in-law Cait took as well pics that my talented cousin Julie Rencher took as well. Thanks girls for taking those pictures! They are AMAZING! I am so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing and talented people!

Short Hair!

I finally cut my hair! I have been wanting to cut my hair for years and have been talking to everyone I know about how I should do it...but I never had the guts to do it! Then I got engaged and I wanted really long hair for an updo for my wedding....and now that is over, I have nothing to keep me from cutting my hair...other than the fact that I was a little nervous! I have had long hair for sooo long and I was just not sure if I could pull off a short hair cut, plus my hair has to be pulled back for the majority of my day so a hair cut seemed kinda silly. But after talking about it everyday for a long time, my husband called the salon, set up an apt...and off I went(if he did not do all that there was no way I would have ever done it...I just would have talked about it for forever.) I sat in the chair, closed my eyes and said I don't care what you do as long as I look good....and this is the result:

I must say I really like it! It is just so easy! Having long hair was only easy because I had it up ALL the time! If I was to really do my hair it took forever, and I am just to lazy for that most days. Having short hair...I don't have to do anything! Plus it is fun to have a change....I wish it was not so expensive so I could experiment more!

This is not my favorite picture but you can see the highlights the best in this one! It is the most blonde I have ever had...!

The Price of a Kitchen Aid

SO lately Mindy and I have been messing around with trying to make the perfect Guacamole. Tonight was our third night making it in the past... 4 days. Right before making it, I remembered ordering "Guacamole Cheese Fries" from Los Albertos in Idaho Falls. They were WAY delicious, and I realized we have a HUGE bag of French Fries in the freezer that would most likely never be used. So after I made the Guacamole, I set the Kitchen Aid up to grate cheese, grated the cheese, and spread it across the already cooked french fries and slid them back into the oven to melt the cheese. I then started to clean up after the huge mess I made (all your hard work has paid off, ma! I clean up during/immediately after cooking!). I start to take apart the Kitchen Aid. When it is set up for grating cheese, you have to slide two parts together, and they lock into place. Its kind of a ghetto way to lock into place.
It's way difficult to take apart. While I was trying to get these two pieces apart (one of which has all the blades on it) my hand slipped, and I sliced my thumb WAY bad. It took me about 20 seconds to realize what had happened. My first thought: What happened? Next thought: Did I cut myself? And then: No, there's no way I cut myself... And lastly, once I saw the blood come gushing out: YEP, I cut myself! So I ran to the bathroom, and held the cut under water. I've never had a cut hurt that bad when holding it under the water! Maybe because the last time I was cut badly was when Chris (thanks again, pal) ran me over with an ATV and split my head open, and I had to go to the ER. But thats another story. With this cut, I had a HUGE piece of skin hanging off. So my amazing wife comes running in with the first aid kit, and proceeds to fix my kitchen battle wound. It took quite a bit of work, but she fixed me! I think my favorite part of this whole story is when I started to feel light headed. I sat on the floor with my hand up over the sink while Mindy worked on the thumb. Soka, our puppy, comes running in and starts giving me kisses. I can't really stop her at this point, and she slides up and sits right next to me so we are both facing the same direction. She keeps giving me kisses (making me laugh really hard), and seemed genuinely concerned about me. It really was one of the cutest things I have ever seen/had happen to me in my entire life, and was the best medicine to take the pain away! I completely forgot my thumb was throbbing. Yep, I definitely think everyone could use a Soka in their lives! She was the best! Almost as awesome as my amazing wife. :)

Cinco De Stache

Now with a Clean Face!

Experiment # 2

Experiment #1

2 Weeks!

1 Week

Let me first start by saying that Bryan hates growing facial hair, for as long as I have known him he could not go longer than one or two days without shaving his face. It drove him crazy! So imagine my surprise and skepticism when he told me that he was not going to shave his face for two weeks, until May 5, Cinco De Mayo.

His friend from high school, Logan Hill, came home from his mission on May 5, and I guess Cinco De Mayo is his favorite holiday. So Bryan and some other friends of Logan's decided not to shave till he comes home to celebrate, making the holiday officially Cinco De Stache! (Crazy? I thought so) Well anyways after much complaining, and me swearing he couldn't do it...he finally shaved today...two weeks later!

He came home SO excited to shave his face, but of course he wanted to play with different facial hair looks (since his hair will never be this long again!) Let's just say they were all very bad, and I am VERY happy his is clean shaving and cute again! Although I have to admit I kinda like the scruffy look... :) Happy Cinco De Stache! Sorry the pics are in backwards order!
