Thanksgiving

This year Bryan and I decided to have our own Thanksgiving in Klamath Falls. Idaho Falls was just too far away and we could not afford it...it's hard to be a poor college student! This was our first year away from home on the Holidays which was a little weird....the first time with out black Friday shopping w/ my mom and sisters! However this year was a lot of fun, and Bryan and I had quite the feast. We were so worried about how this dinner would turn out but it was fantastic. Bryan cooked the Turkey and I did everything else. Bryan was so proud of his turkey and I have to give it to him it was really good...we both felt so old and adult! Cooking the whole dinner ourselves, cleaning ourselves, and being alone made me feel like I had a family of my own..I loved it!! It was nice to only have to clean up after two people instead of doing dishes for twenty people like we would if we were home. After dinner we watched a million Christmas movies and just hung out. It was very quiet but I loved spending all that time with my Fiance.

Normally around this time of year it is normal to reflect on what you are thankful for, but this year meant a lot more to me. I have lead a very blessed life and I feel I have taken a lot of it for granted. This year made me realize just how blessed I am. I have been blessed with some amazing opportunities, to go to school, play volleyball, travel, meet the people that I have, and share the gospel to a lot of people. I love my family and have been blessed with the most amazing parents, brothers and sisters. I am especially thankful for my fiance. He is my rock and helps me get form day to day. He makes sure I get to church and really is such an example to me when it come to the gospel. I love him so much.

That's all for this post. I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays!

Can we talk about how much gray I am wearing?

Tender Mercies

I have been so blessed to have the most wonderful friends in my life. One of my roommates and best friends from Seattle and I have been through a lot together. I can honestly say I could not have gotten through some things with out her. Lately she has been struggling with some trails of her own. Her oldest sister, Jill, had a little boy named Abel 5 months ago. Abel is the happiest little boy I have ever met. You could see and feel his precious little spirit so strongly when you looked at his little eyes. Unfortunately, Abel had a lot of health problems. He spent most of his time in the hospital. After countless heart surgeries they sent in home in hopes of getting well enough for another surgery. However his health never improved, and the doctors said his body could not handle another surgery. Lauren and her family have been staying with Jill spending all the time they can with little Abel. Earlier this afternoon he passed away calmly in his mothers arms. I am so sad such a wonderful little boy had to return to his father I heaven without really getting to know his earthly family.

I can not even imagine how hard this would be...had this been my nephew or my son even, I do not know what I would do with myself. Jill and her husband were sealed in the temple just a short while ago. What a blessing it is for them to know that they will see their little boy again. I am also grateful that I will be getting married in the temple to such a wonderful and caring man...someone I can share those same blessings with. I am sad that it takes a death of a small friend for me to really search my scriptures and get on my knees and thank the lord for all he does for me. What a wonderful blessing it is to the gospel in my life, for the wonderful knowledge and comfort it gives me, so I can comfort my friend in need. I know that Abel is with our father in heaven and that he is happy and pain free and looking over the Steenson family. I am so grateful for all the healthy nieces, nephews, cousins, and little friends that are in my life that give my so much happiness and make me laugh so hard! I love you all and be safe!

MW2

Bryan's favorite position...He hasn't moved in days!

You can't tell but I am making fun of him!

These are his wonderful goggles :) pretty hott huh!?

Last Monday the new xbox game, Modern Warfare 2 came out. It was so funny to watch Bryan get excited about this game...like I am talking little kid at Christmas excited. He wouldn't stop talking about it! He ordered it weeks in advance and it came with some night vision goggles that I am not going to lie are pretty legit! I can not believe how much he spent on all of it though...that money could have bought us 150 cheeseburgers!!! I guess there is a special flavor of Mountain Dew that he had to have to play his game...se we called every store with in two hours of Klamath Falls to find. The only place we found that still had this type of soda was in Medford...two hours away! Of course as soon as Bryan found this out he was on a mission...and we drove to Medford and cleaned out their supply of Mountain Dew Game Fuel!!

Ever since Monday he has been GLUED to that TV!!!! I find myself saying the same thing my dad would tell us as kids...Bry TV rots your brains!!! He plays till late in the night...and the worst part is most of the time I just sit and watch him!! Instead of doing my homework, or sleeping, or anything I watch him play video games...I don't know which one is worse his playing or my watching!!!!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween this year was very low-key but it was one of the best! I had a volleyball game tonight...which we won! After that Bryan and I went out to eat at the best sushi restaurant...I love sushi! Afterward we went to my house and carved pumpkins (I know its late to do that but we had midterms this week and I got really sick...so today was the only day to do it!) After all that we watched a scary movie..since it was Halloween and all. However I decided that Bryan is the worst person ever to watch a scary movie with!! Love him to death but he was so scared he wouldn't stop talking about random things, stop moving, or making me jump! But I love him all the same and would not want to watch a movie and spend Halloween with anyone else. I really am blessed to have such a scaredy-cat for a fiance!

My Pumpkin...may be my best yet!

This pumpkin was so hard to cut through!!!

Bryan is big on the new Modern Warfare 2 game coming out soon on xbox....that's his pumpkin tribute to the game...his geeky side comes out sometimes :)

All in all these pumpkins looked fantastic!
Happy Halloween!

Formal/Bridal Session

Bryan and I went to Portland this last weekend! I really wanted a formal photography session with Bryan and I in all of our wedding stuff in Portland. Since we decided not to get married in Portland...I took pictures there to make me feel better about it! Plus Portland is absolutely gorgeous this time of year...I love the west!

The morning before the shoot was INSANE! People always talk about how wedding stuff is stressful and how the day of always goes wrong...I didn't believe them until that morning! So far my wedding plans have been so easy and fun...the blessing of a long engagement!

Anyways I went to get my nails done (i cant have fake nails during the week cuz of school and volleyball..silly rules if ya ask me!) I went to a local lady at walmart. She was so funny...granted I could only undestand 1/4 of what she said! I asked her to mak my nails really short...in her asian accent she told me NO! She said that boys like long nails and that my husband will thank her! Then she asked me something i couldnt understand and you can only say "im sorry" and "what was that" so many times before you look just stupid...so I told her ok...turns out my nails are long and PINK with Glitter!! hahahaha it was terrible! Not to mention that to have to have longer nails and pink and glitter cost twenty dollars more than normal french tip nails that I wanted!

Then i went to get my haur done the morning off...the lady that did it, did it nothing like I wanted. She even said "sorry its not what you wanted but I thought this would look better..." turns out it looked ok so no harm done :)

Then I went to pick up my flowers! These flowers were suppose to be done by two..i get there and the lady is just starting to put them together. Then in the middle of putting them together she picks up the phone. Apparently it was her boyfriend and they were having a fight over the phone. Anyways it resulted in her crying while she was putting my flowers together...it was so awkward standing there while they were fighting over the phone! The flowers took two hours to get done...which made us so late for our photo shoot! Luckly Ashley the photographer was so understanding and sweet! but we had to take a three hour shoot in an hour and a half because the sunlight was fading!!

After all of that frustration and stress that we would miss the shoot...the shoot went awesome and I loved our photographer! She made it so much fun....which is good cuz I hate getting pictures taken of me i think it is so awkward!

I am so blessed to have Bryan in my life! He did so well this weekend with handling me...there was no way i was easy! I hate being late and I was so worried that we would miss it! Thank Bry for hangin in there and being so wonderful! I could not have gotten though that crazy weekend without you!

I will post some pictures when i get them!

Relief Society

So I have been a member of this ward for about a month now when the wonderful bishop (who is from Shelly ID of all places...small world) called me into his office. I am now officially part of the relief society presidency..lucky me huh? I was actually kinda excited since I really like the ward here...helps that Bryan likes the ward even more and forces me to be more social. Anyways I am in charge of Enrichment...which I have never done before! I always avoided them in previous wards (CARMA!)

Any Ideas would be fantastic!!!

Summer '09

What a crazy summer! Between getting engaged, moving into dads new house, visiting with family this summer was so busy and went by so fast I can't believe it is over! I figured since I am not on this very much and now that my live is enslaved to school and volleyball I will give a fast overview of the summer! So I am sorry this is so much at one time and a ton of pictures...I don't post very often so when I do I have lots of time to make up for!

So Bryan was driving around Idaho Falls and saw a bunch of cars swerving this black thing in the middle of the road. He pulled over to see what it was and to move it and found a baby kitten! He picked it up and put it in his car, being the wonderful fiance he is he brought it to me so I can see it before he got rid of it...little did he know that I would fall in love with the little guy! He was so small and a little battered...so I nursed him back to health and he lived with me for most of the summer until I moved (you can't have pets at my school)...Tammy found him a home...

Everyone...this is BEAN!

Nate, Megan and Baby Cambri came to Idaho Falls for a little bit this summer. It was so much fun to see them and spend a ton of time with them. Bryan, Nate, Meg, Cambri, and I went to Glacier National Park for the weekend and went camping. It was so much fun and SO pretty. I strongly recomend it...but poor little Cambri got sick and well she did not have so much fun.

Now this stupid goat may have been the only wildlife we saw (minus birds and bugs) on the trip. Unlike Yellowstone there are not as many animals...Brian and Nate were so excited to see an animal I think I have a hundred pictures of this silly goat...in the same position. He never moved!

This is one of the many lakes that are in the park and they were AMAZING! The water was crystal clear and you could see everything! Even though it was so cold, the water was so clean and clear that it was totally worth and the highlight of the trip...Boating anyone?!

El Cook! Nate loves to cook while camping...who would have thought! You can never get him to do anything at home but put him outdoors in a tent with a fire and you have a COOK!

Cheesin it!!! (Meg was trying to make up for how unhappy her little girl was!)

On our way to Glacier we stopped at kevins to play with his family...and his wonderful lake! I love you Brother!

hahah so Katherine is one funny girl!!! She took my camera and she and her friends took pictures of themselves...those girls are model material! They have better poses than I do!

Hi!

Surprisingly enough Nate has a lot of pictures with this exact pose...
Next door to kevin's house Sea.Doo was letting people test drive their new jetskis...O man o man they were LEGIT! Dad...can we have one please?!

Living in Washington you miss wonderful sucset like this one...there is a reason I love Idaho...

O so I got my haircut! hello bangs! Now I have never liked the idea of bangs on me...I have a wonderful callick in the middle of my forehead that makes bangs a challenge! But I helped a friend with a modeling shoot for her hair salon...which involved me getting my haircut...but the model pics looked awesome! I dont have those pics but here are some with my new do...and my boy!

s

We were so lucky to spend a ton of time with Jenae and her family! They are the best and her kids are so much fun I love having them around and I miss them so much...they should move to Oregon! Bryan and Damion are new best friends and Bry talks about going to visit Damion all the time! We went to a Doctors picnic this summer with Jenae and fam, jade and Brayden and had so much fun! Here are some pictures of that!
